About the Product
Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil (27 GBP/ 33 USD; Made in Korea) - is described as a highly precise, intensely pigmented concealer pencil that is supposed to be long-wearing, comfortable, and easy to use.
PACKAGING
You are looking at a classic twist-up design with an in-built sharpener. Each Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil contains 0.4 g/ 0.014 oz of product. This packaging is chic, lightweight, and travel-friendly. My only gripe is that the print came off almost immediately, so make sure to keep the box to remember your shade.

FORMULA
The Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil is made to last, which explains why the formula lists Trimethylsiloxysilicate (a potent film-former that helps makeup resist sweat, humidity, and transfer), a mix of Acrylates, Stearyl Acrylate, Dimethicone Methacrylate Copolymer (improved wear-time and adherence), Methyl Trimethicone, Dimethicone, and Phenyl Trimethicone (pore-, line-blurring silicones that provide slip and help the product glide easily over skin) as its top ingredients.
😊 PROS
The formula contains Silica and Polymethylsilsesquioxane, which help refine texture, absorb excess oil, and reduce the appearance of pores and lines. The formula lists various stabilizers and antioxidants (such as Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Caprylyl Glycol, and Phenoxyethanol) that help preserve the product. The formula is also water-free and fragrance-free.
☹️ CONS
Personally, I did not experience any adverse reactions while using this product.

TEXTURE
A creamy-gel consistency that feels smooth and blendable.
SHADES
The range currently includes 20 shades, carefully divided by undertone and depth. The Lisa Eldridge website offers shade-matching services and charts, doing an excellent job at helping you select your perfect color. The Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil is a highly-pigmented formula.
SCENT
Fragrance-free.
APPLICATION
The "scribble and blend" method works best with the Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil. Locate the area you want to color-correct, scribble over it with the pencil, and then gently blend the concealer with your fingertips. Repeat for more coverage.
I find that this formula works best at camouflaging sun spots, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, and scarring. I use a separate (more hydrating/watery) concealer under my eyes.
You can also use a smaller, more precise brush to blend out the edges of the area you just concealed, so it looks even more seamless. This technique works equally well over bare skin (and suncare) or with a base. In my opinion, it looks perfect paired with the Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint (reviewed here).
The Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil worked well with other skincare, suncare, and makeup products I have paired it with.
FINISH
Natural-matte.
WEAR
I have put this formula through the ultimate test of summer humidity and heat (as well as inevitable workout sweat) and must conclude that my concealer remained intact even without me setting it with powder. On its own, the Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil lasts for up to 7-8 hours before minimal fading occurs. This product is said to be waterproof, which explains why it wore so well even in an intensely humid environment. The best part? You won't even feel it on the skin.
Verdict
Lisa Eldridge created not just a product, but a whole new category of complexion makeup with her Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil. The "pinpoint" technique has been game-changing for many people who appreciate and support Lisa Eldridge's artistry. While the technique existed for many years before this much-anticipated launch, having a perfect tool to achieve the desired results is truly revolutionary. From a meticuluous approach to developing much-needed undertones to perfecting the formula, this product turned out to be an absolute gem and a keeper. Whether you are a professional makeup artist, beginner, or beauty lover like myself, I believe you won't be disappointed by this literal photoshop in a pencil. I give this product an A+.
