Foreword
If you are a friend to the blog (big hugs!), then you already know that I have a soft spot for all things Caudalie. I have been actively using their products for yearsss now and it is safe to say my skin loves them. Recently the brand have revamped some of their best-sellers to make them vegan, more eco-friendly and potent (thanks to a collaboration with the Harvard University). In this post we will look at the Resveratrol-Lift line.

My Skin: dry, sensitive
What Is Resveratrol?
Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant, which is typically derived from grapes or other plants. It is used in skincare for its firming and lifting properties.
Eye Gel Cream
Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream (59 USD; Made in France) - is described as a firming and depuffing eye cream that should effectively hydrate, smooth and firm the eye contour.
The reinvented formula has a lot of beneficial ingredients in it including: Hyaluronic Acids (various molecular sizes), Vegan Collagen (Mahogany Bark Extract) and Peptides (Amino Acids).
The gel/cream texture is truly beautiful, as it is clear and weightless, yet nourishing and silky at the same time. It absorbs quickly and seamlessly, leaving your skin feeling instantly refreshed and hydrated (never sticky). Scent-free.
After using Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream for several months now, I have noticed that my eye contour area has become smoother, less textured. I do not have fine lines or wrinkles around my eyes, but can suffer from dry patches and mild peeling (being a swimmer, I spend a lot of time in chlorine which dries out my skin even more). On my driest days this eye gel did not provide enough moisture, so I would opt for the brand's VineActiv Energizing And Smoothing Eye Cream instead (review here).
who is going to love it
If you are 25+ years old and want to introduce anti-ageing eye cream into your routine, this could be a great starting point.
Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream will work for all skin types (especially if you love a gel formula). However, if your under-eye area is very dry, you might need a slightly richer product to provide enough hydration. This product is quite lightweight, which makes it extremely makeup-friendly. Does a good job at de-puffing the eyes and can be used on the lip contour as well.

Serum
Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Instant Firming Serum (79 USD; Made in France) - promises to firm, lift and smooth your skin and face contours.
This has to be my favorite product in this line, because I have noticed almost immediate results with it. As I have mentioned, I do not have any noticeable signs of ageing yet (aka wrinkles), but a few fine lines have formed on my forehead from all the [2020 stress] brow movement. This serum has literally ironed them out within a few weeks and I no longer see any lines (not even in a magnifying mirror).
Resveratrol-Lift Instant Firming Serum has a lightweight, milky texture and a faint herbal scent, which disappears once the liquid gets absorbed. Skin feels instantly supple and hydrated (neither oily nor sticky). The formula is a combination of Resveratrol, Hyaluronic Acid, Olive Squalane, Peptides and Vegan Collagen. This mix has proven to be more effective than Retinol, yet without any associated side effects such as skin redness, peeling or irritation.
who is going to love it
If your skin shows first signs of ageing and you are 25+, this could be a perfect serum for both nourishing and smoothing the texture.
I believe that Resveratrol-Lift Instant Firming Serum should work incredibly well for all skin types, including sensitive - especially if you can't tolerate classic Retinol, but still want to give your skin extra TLC. Can be used on the neck and décolletage as well.

Cream
Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Firming Cashmere Cream (65 USD; Made in France) - is a daytime moisturizer that should visibly smooth, firm and hydrate the skin.
This product has a perfect silky texture and creaminess to it, without trespassing the grease-town territory (also no pilling). Absorbs within seconds and leaves your skin feeling happy and nourished. Similarly to the serum, this cream does have a mild herbal scent to it, which does not linger.
Although we are still working with the same holy-skincare trinity here (Resveratrol, Hyaluronic Acid, Vegan Collagen), an added bonus is Shea Butter and Grape Seed Oil, which make Resveratrol-Lift Firming Cashmere Cream exceptionally good for people with dry/dehydrated skin types.
Over time, I did notice positive changes in my skin: little to no dry patches, less texture, clogged pores, as well as breakouts. Skin has become more supple and plump. Although it is technically a day-time cream, since it is so potent, I have actually been using it as part of my PM routine more like an overnight treatment (Caudalie do have a night cream in this line, which I haven't tried yet).
who is going to love it
If you are looking for nourishing, but also some very much needed anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties in your moisturizer, Resveratrol-Lift Firming Cashmere Cream could be a great option to start off with.
A formula like this will work best for those of you with normal and dry skin types, but also combination and sensitive. If you are on the oily side, get a sample of this cream first to see whether it is too rich for you or not.

Final Thoughts
People have different opinions on when it is a good time to start introducing anti-ageing skincare products into your routine. After all, everyone's skin is different. If you feel like you are entering that phase in your life where you can benefit from using Resveratrol-rich products like these ones by Caudalie, then take it slow and add new products gradually not to overwhelm your skin. Personally speaking, I am just starting to use slightly more advanced formulas and Resveratrol-Lift line has been nothing but a great friend (especially the serum). Although I can't say how effective these formulas are on 40+, 50+ skin - for someone who is in their mid/late 20s and early 30s this line can be exceptionally good.
