Unleashia Glitterpedia Eye Palette No.2 All Of Brown Review

sprinkle, sprinkle

Foreword

As we continue to explore the dazzling galaxy of the Glitterpedia, it was only natural to move onto the brand's another best-seller - the All Of Brown palette. The No.1 All Of Glitter (reviewed here) turned out to be a great discovery, so let's see what the second palette has in store for us.

About the Product

Unleashia Glitterpedia Eye Palette (24 USD; Made in Korea) - is a collection of nine-pan eyeshadow palettes, offering a mix of finishes, textures, and color stories. In today's review we will focus on the brand's bestselling No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette.

Packaging: a distinguished feature of Glitterpedia Eye Palettes is the fact that they come in a book-like cardboard packaging. One that not only secures the palette, but also lists everything you'd want to know about it (including the expiry date). The case itself is clear, with elements of silver. It is made of plastic and feels lightweight. The design is minimal yet pretty and modern in its own way. Every palette contains nine pans, weighing 6.2g/ 0.219 oz in total. While the palette appears portable, make sure to protect the lid as it might crack mid travel.

Formula: when we look at the ingredients of the No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette, we get a nice mix of humectants, texture enhancers, colorants, silicones, glitter components, binders, and stabilizers.

😊 PROS

The ingredients listed should not only feel soft and smooth on the skin, but also help improve product's texture, enhance spreadability, and adherence.

☹️ CONS

The brand's formulations are known for containing slightly larger particles of Mica and Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, which can cause micro-tears or abrasions, particularly around or in the eye area. Be careful with the shade Know-How in the  No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette if you have sensitive eyes.

Personally speaking, I did not face any adverse reactions while using the palette.

Vegan🌱 Cruelty-free🐇

Scent: fragrance-free.

Finishes: unlike with the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette, where you would mostly look at various types of pressed glitter, the No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette includes a diversified mix of textures and finishes. You have a soft matte, matte pearl, shimmer pearl, and marble glitter. The "glitter balms" make a reappearance with shades Know-How and Ceremony. In short - the palette offers a great variety to create a plethora of multi-dimensional looks.

Texture: consistent quality and smoothness. Certain colors appear a touch gritty due to a larger size of shimmer/glitter particles, however, not in a dry or chalky way. Matte shades, although smooth and finely milled, do have a bit of kick-up. On average, these textures mix well together.

Shades: as the name suggests, the No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette is a collection of beige, brown, champagne, gold, and copper tones. You get classic mattes (Meek, Balance, Moment), satin shimmer pearl (Honor), chunky multi-color "mermaid" glitter (Know-How), and classic pearl (Gentle). Shade Gleam is a subdued, almost clear base multi-color glimmer, whereas Ceremony is its grown-up, amplified version with larger specks of multi-dimensional glitter running through a "jelly" base. My personal favorite is Sensual, which is a fine, high-shine brown/copper-gold glitter that looks sensational on the eyes. Overall, the palette runs on a neutral-warm side.

Unleashia Glitterpedia Eye Palette No 2 All Of Brown Review

As I have said in my No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette review, it is tricky to capture the essence and beauty of the Unleashia glitters. Truly, they do look mesmerizing in person.

Application: your fingertips are your best friends when it comes to pressed glitters; for mattes and satins use brushes. The emollient base shades in the No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette (Ceremony, Know-How) may crease throughout the day. While using a glitter glue is not necessary (these glitters adhere quite well to the skin), I would still recommend an eye primer. These powders blend and fuse nicely.

The No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette runs on a soft, delicate side; however, with the right layering technique (for example packing the color on top of darker color base), you can achieve a bold, statement look. The subdued nature of these shades reflects Korean beauty trends.

Wear: the No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette is long-lasting and user-friendly. Glitters wear comfortably, but may crease quicker due to their "jelly" nature. Mattes and satins do not accentuate skin texture or dryness; with an eye primer subtle fading is noticed around 5-6th hour mark. Although there is initial kick-up in the pan, there is no fallout. Remember to tap off the excess powder and you should be good to go.

To remove glittery shades, always use micellar water first. Once glitter is out of the way, proceed with cleansers of your choice.

Verdict

The Korean makeup rodeo is taking a fabulous turn and I must admit - I am pleasantly surprised by the Unleashia creations. Not only are these palettes versatile, unique, and user-friendly - but they are also well-thought-out and accessible. I like how every eye palette conveys a different story wrapped in a modern format. My only concern are the "mermaid" glitters; as much as I adore the way they look, the particle size is on a chunky side, which is not ideal for the delicate eye area. Having said that, the No.2 All Of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette is a beautiful addition to my ever-growing eyeshadow collection and I give it a B+.
