About the Product
Unleashia Glitterpedia Eye Palette (24 USD; Made in Korea) - is a collection of nine-pan eyeshadow palettes, offering a mix of finishes, textures, and color stories. In today's review we will focus on the brand's bestselling No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette.
Packaging: a distinguished feature of Glitterpedia Eye Palettes is the fact that they come in a book-like cardboard packaging, one that not only secures the palette but also lists everything you'd want to know about them (including the expiry date). The case itself is clear, with elements of silver. It is made of plastic and feels lightweight. The design is minimal yet pretty and modern in its own way. Every palette contains nine pans, weighing 6.2g/ 0.219 oz in total. While the palette appears portable, make sure to protect the lid as it might crack mid travel.
Recyclable ♻️
Formula: if we split the ingredients of the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette into groups, we'll get various categories ranging from humectants, texture enhancers, and colorants all the way to silicones, glitter components, binders, and stabilizers.
😊 PROS
The ingredients listed should allow good adhesion, smooth application, long wear, and skin conditioning.
☹️ CONS
While the formula looks elegant and is free of toxins, it does contain slightly larger particles of Mica and Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, which can cause micro-tears or abrasions, particularly around or in the eye area. Be careful with shades Stuck and Symbol in the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette if you have sensitive eyes.
Personally speaking, I did not face any adverse reactions while using the palette.
Vegan🌱 Cruelty-free🐇
Scent: fragrance-free.
Finishes: while there is a distinct variety of finishes, they are equally well-made and impactful once applied. The No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette is every glitter-lover's dream. With an exception of Crush (which appears more satin-pearl), every other shade is a different kind of pressed glitter (varying from subdued to mermaid-tail chunky).
Some shades appear almost wet to the touch and are described by Unleashia as "glitter jelly", "glitter balm", or "marble glitter".
Texture: smooth across the board. Certain colors feel a touch gritty due to a larger size of shimmer/glitter particles, however, not in dry way. There is little to no fallout.
Shades: the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette is a collection of wearable champagne-, pink-, and peachy-gold shades. You get multi-colored shimmers (Refine, Symbol, Stuck, Prime, Vital), pure gold or bronze glitters with a colored base (Occult, Desire), as well as a single duochrome (Mirage) that shifts from pink to old gold. Shades Refine and Prime are on a subtle, quiet/sheer side. While Symbol and Stuck are borderline chunky multi-glitters.
This color story offers a plethora of toppers and one-and-done shades for both - your everyday and party looks.
While it is tricky to capture true essence, dimension, and beauty of these shades - the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette looks mesmerizing in person.
Application: your fingertips are your best friends when it comes to pressed glitters. Since half of the shades in the palette have quite an emollient base, they may crease throughout the day. While using a glitter glue is not necessary (these glitters adhere quite well to the skin), for the ultimate no-creasing experience, I would recommend using an eye primer.
The No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette runs on a soft, delicate side; however, with the right layering technique (for example packing the color on top of darker color base), you can achieve a bold, statement look.
Wear: the glitters wear comfortably throughout the day. There is minor fading and creasing around 4-5th hour mark. Overall, the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette is long-lasting and user-friendly. To remove these shades, use micellar water first. Once glitter is out of the way, proceed with cleansers of your choice.
Verdict
I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I ordered the No.1 All Of Glitter Glitterpedia Eye Palette online, but oh my my. This Unleashia creation is fairy dust and unicorn sparkles swirled, finely milled, and pressed into a single nine-pan palette. Magical, otherworldly, and unique. The "jelly" shades in particular feel like nothing else I have ever tried before. While I am still on the fence when it comes to larger specks of glitter (and how they are less than ideal for the delicate eye area), I think you can find a way to utilize these chunky, mermaid-y colors without injuring yourself. Besides, both quality and pricing are amazing. Overall, I am intrigued by the brand and give this palette a well-deserved B+.
