About the Product

Kosas Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel with Lamination Effect (25 USD; Made in USA) - is described as a clear brow gel boosted by hair care actives to set brows in place and promote healthy hair growth.

Packaging: the brow gel comes in a petite, clear-iridescent packaging. The tube is made of plastic and contains 4.0g/ 0.13 fl oz worth of product. This is almost half the amount compared to other popular products within the same price range. The spoolie has a triangular shape. The Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel is portable and travel-friendly.

Formula: as you might know, Kosas takes a clean approach when it comes to its formulations. There is a big emphasis on the use of skin-loving (or in this case hair-loving) ingredients. The Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel is a water-based formulation enriched with Glycerin (humectant), Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5, conditioning), Sodium Hyaluronate (hydration), Biotinyl-Tripeptide 1 (supports hair growth), Trehalose (antioxidant, conditioning), and more.

Personally speaking, I did not face any adverse reactions while using the product. I have been repurchasing this brow gel for two years now.

Scent: fragrance-free.

Texture: clear gel consistency.

Shade: colorless.

If you are looking for a similarly formulated tinted product, you may opt for the brand's Air Brow Tinted version instead (currently available in ten shades).

Application: the Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel can be used by itself or together with a brow pencil/pomade of your choice. Once you have filled in your eyebrows, brush them in an upward motion and let the gel fully dry down. Usually it takes a minute or two for the product to set.

The triangular spoolie is quite soft; from my experience of using this gel, the bristles do not disrupt the pencil/pomade underneath them. There is no transfer, however, the color of your gel may change over time (especially if you do not clean the spoolie in-between uses). Personally, I don't mind the gel getting a bit cloudy, since it does not affect the efficiency of the formula.

Wear: the Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel offers comfortable, weightless wear and good hold. Brows stay put well throughout the day and hairs feel soft to the touch with the product on. This adds to a natural look and feel of the formula. The gel rinses out with ease. I never experience any flaking while wearing this Kosas creation.

personal experience

Below is a photo of me with the product on. My eyebrows are naturally full and a bit unruly. While I have minor gaps here and there, with the Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel I can get away with the gel alone. It brushes my brow hairs quite well, lifts, and sets them in place. While it doesn't offer the hold of say Benefit 24-HR Brow Setter (the strongest brow gel I have used), for an everyday wear this Kosas formula is excellent. I do not lose brow hairs (as it happened with some other products before) and they appear well groomed and conditioned without me having to do much to keep them that way.

Verdict

Small but mighty. My collection of Kosas favorites keeps on growing and the Air Brow Clear Lifting Treatment Gel holds a special place on this list. This must be my most used (and repurchased) brow gel to date. Although you get less product compared to other brands, the quality of the formula is well worth it in my opinion. It may not offer the strongest hold, but it will take care of your brow hairs by keeping them soft, glossy, and conditioned even in-between uses. I believe this product will be loved by those of you, who have been blessed in the eyebrow department and want to achieve that natural, well-groomed brow look without overdoing it. This brow gel looks great, feels great, and deserves an A rate.
