Foreword
While it is exciting to discover new skincare gems, it is equally important to pay homage to heroes that truly stood the test of time. In this post we will talk about one of my personal, most-used skincare products. Spoiler - it is worth your time and money.

My Skin: dry, sensitive
About the Product
Caudalie Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil (30 USD; Made in France) - is the brand's gentle cleansing oil, that removes makeup, sunscreen, and impurities in one step. It promises to cleanse and hydrate, without feeling heavy or greasy.
PACKAGING
A sleek, plastic bottle with a pump. Each bottle contains 150 ml / 5.0 oz worth of product. The design may appear simple yet it is well made (honorable mention to the pump - distributes the right amount of product and never leaks). This cleanser is also available in a smaller, travel size.

FORMULA
At its core, the Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil features Sunflower Seed Oil, which is its main ingredient. Known for its skin-soothing nature, it is paired with other nourishing oils such as Castor Seed, Grape Seed, and Almond - which creates a potent yet gentle combination perfect for melting off makeup and sun-care.
😊 PROS
The addition of the Lineolic Acid (aka Omega 6) helps balance skin hydration. And you get extra benefits of the Castor Seed Oil, which boosts eyelash growth.
☹️ CONS
While most ingredients are plant-derived, this formula contains fragrance. Good news is - it is listed last, which highlights its insignificant presence. If you are unsure, please review the full ingredient list prior to purchase.
Personally speaking, I did not face any adverse reactions while using the product (and I have been repurchasing it for many years now).

TEXTURE
A clear gel-meets-oil, smooth consistency, that does not leave any residue once it is washed off. The oil transforms into a milky liquid when it gets in contact with water.
SCENT
While there is an added fragrance, it is hard to discern what the product actually smells of. To me the Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil smells of almonds. A very faint, hardly noticeable scent.
APPLICATION
Ideally used whenever you need to cleanse your skin off of makeup, sunscreen, or any other skincare products. One-two pumps is an ideal amount for the face and neck.
Dispense the desired amount of cleanser into your palms. Warm the oil between your hands, then massage it all over face, eyes, and neck. Be gentle with your eyelashes; let the product melt mascara, then rinse. For double-cleansing, follow up with a liquid cleanser or a micellar water of your preference.
The Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil shines when it comes to taking off mascara and eye makeup. In my opinion, it has been the only cleansing oil that did not blur my vision.
long-term use
Delicate skin around the eyes in particular remains smooth and hydrated. The Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil does not cause burning or skin/eyes irritation. From my experience, it does not clog pores or cause breakouts (including milia). It rinses off with ease, leaving skin feeling soft and cleansed. Naturally, if you applied quite a few products that need rinsing, proceed with your favorite cleanser afterwards. Although double-cleansing seems scary for people with dry skin - I must admit that, no matter what other products I paired with this Caudalie cleanser, the results remained excellent. Added points for helping to keep my lashes intact, despite the use of long-wearing mascaras and eyeliners.
Verdict
The unsung hero of the Caudalie family - the Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil. While many of us, beauty enthusiasts, love to experiment with products - this is that one quiet nugget in my collection that I am not willing to part with. The struggle to find something that agrees with sensitive eyes and dry skin is real. Especially a formula that won't rip your eyelashes off or blur your vision to the point where you can't see. None of that was ever an issue with this Caudalie creation. I genuinely think this cleanser deserves praise, and it’s one I always recommend. No more gatekeeping: A++.
