smooth days ahead
Foreword
As we continue with our Resveratrol-Lift trilogy, having discussed the Instant Firming Serum (reviewed here) and Firming Cashmere Day Cream (reviewed here), it is time to check on the newly reformulated Firming Night Cream. Is it just as good as the original? Let's find out.

My Skin: dry, sensitive
About the Product
Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Firming Night Cream (72 USD; Made in France) - is described as a nourishing cream that promotes firmer, lifted, and rejuvenated skin. It also targets dryness and elasticity.
Packaging: the same chic baby-pink mattified glass jar with a color-matching lid. The hue of pink is darker in tone compared to the Firming Cashmere Day Cream. You can easily recognize the new line by the indigo blue font used instead of the classic black. This packaging can be fully recycled and you can also purchase refills whilst reusing the jar (61 USD). In total, you work with 50 ml/ 1.6 oz worth of product.
Recyclable ♻️
Formula: I am sure you are guessing by now, so what is new with the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Night Cream? The old formula has been great, however, the upgraded version now features a Vegan Collagen Alternative derived from the Mahogany Bark Extract (firming, smoothing). You also see various kinds of Hyaluronic Acid in the mix, mostly those of a smaller molecular size that should allow a deeper penetration (hence drive better results as far as skin hydration and plumpness are concerned).
PROS ☺️
A high percentage of the highlighted ingredients, as well as Glycerin (occlusive layer, moisture), Squalane (hydration), Grape Seed Oil (antioxidant), and a plethora of other plant-based extracts.
CONS 😕
Added fragrance. Although in my experience I did not have any adverse reaction to it, I still want to mention this in case your skin is more sensitive to it.
Vegan🌱 Cruelty-Free🐇
Texture: smooth cream consistency (somewhere in between a gel and rich cream).
Scent: added fragrance. The scent pretty much disappears once the product is applied.
Application: as per the product's description, this formula is intended for the PM routine. The two moisturizers, Day and Night, have different textures and feel. I would say that the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Cashmere Day Cream is more lightweight and thin, whereas the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Night Cream runs on a slightly richer side. Both feel weightless yet potent as far as hydration is concerned.
first impression
Skin is soothed and well-moisturized. You wake up to a noticeably smooth, plump complexion.
long-term use
Over time I have noticed just how much more radiant my complexion has become. The results may not be instantaneous (like those after a potent Retinol serum for example), however, the progress is certainly there. There is little to no dry skin texture, pores shrink in size, and some of the fine lines are reduced in size. Hyper-pigmentation spots vanish reasonably faster as well.
who is going to like it
Even though I am not the one to talk about some other claimed benefits like lifting or deep wrinkles (considering my young age), I do believe that if you are 25+ and on the lookout for an effective preventative skincare range, the Resveratrol-Lift line might be the one for you. This is also a great option for pregnant women or people who can't tolerate classic Retinol.
Verdict
Even though I was initially worried about the whole reformulation game (a reasonable fear that many of us have regarding favorite beauty products), I am here to say that the revamped version of the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Night Cream has passed the test. I like the innovative way of thinking that Caudalie have, particularly the use of Vegan Collagen (which is backed up by the scientific research done by Harvard University). So far, everything I have tried from the upgraded line has been working for me beautifully. As far as effective, non-invasive skincare is concerned, the Resveratrol-Lift collection is a wonderful option to consider. I give this product an A rating.
