My Skin: dry, sensitive
About the Product
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 (50 USD; Made in USA) - is a recently reformulated version of the iconic tinted moisturizer. The new formula promises to strengthen skin barrier, soften appearance of fine lines, and provide long-lasting hydration.
PACKAGING
A well-made squeeze tube with a see-through bottom containing 45 ml / 1.5 fl oz of product. The expiration date is printed on the tube, which is a convenient touch. Shade names are printed on a see-through sticker. Overall, this is a nice, portable, and practical design. Also available in a travel-friendly mini size.

FORMULA
The renewed Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 is infused with skin-loving ingredients, which is a welcome addition in a complexion product.
😊 PROS
It offers a skin-supportive base with light emollients (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dicaprylyl Ether, Tribehenin), strong humectant system for hydration and plumping (Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate), and antioxidant support (Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate - respectively Vitamin E and Vitamin C derivative). On top of that, you get antioxidant plant extracts (Raspberry leaf, Rose flower, Grape fruit), and a Prebiotic/Postbiotic blend (Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Lactobacillus, Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice).
There is no added fragrance or denatured alcohol.
☹️ CONS
Sodium Hyaluronate appears low on the ingredient list, indicating its minimal content. While the formula seems barrier-friendly, an abundance of plant-based ingredients may potentially cause irritation in very sensitive skin types.
Personally, I did not face any adverse reactions while using the product.
TEXTURE
Creamy and easy to spread. Although not thick, the new version appears less watery than its predecessors.
SCENT
None.
SHADES
Currently available in 20 shades (split into cool, neutral, and warm undertones).
COVERAGE
Sheer to light (not medium). It is said that the new Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 offers better coverage and I agree - it applies more even than previous versions. You will still need a concealer for hyper-pigmentation and spots.
APPLICATION
I find that the best way to apply this product, similar to skincare, is with your fingers. Build the coverage gradually and use a dampened sponge if you need additional blending. The Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 is a speedy, every-day product and it applies with ease.
While it may cling slightly to texture, it does not settle into pores or accentuate dryness. I find that it looks best on a well-hydrated, exfoliated canvas. Thought it has Broad Spectrum SPF 30, I personally layer a separate sunscreen underneath for full protection.
FINISH
Natural bordering dewy. It gets more radiant throughout the day. Compared to earlier version, which sometimes appeared a bit greasy, this is a big improvement.
WEAR
The Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 is a lightweight, lightly hydrating formula that lasts well up to 5-6 hours before I notice any fading. Wear time can be extended with a powder, something like Ultra-Blur Translucent Pressed Setting Powder (reviewed here) could be an excellent choice.
Verdict
Out of several variations of this product that I have tried in the past, the newly revamped Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 is hands down a favorite. It delivers even, improved coverage, comfortable wear, and is very easy to work with. The skin tone appears healthy and evened out in a very natural way. I believe it will suit normal and dry skin types best. If you are looking for a light, breathable base that looks naturally radiant and gently perfects your complexion without overpowering it, you may enjoy this new formula. I give it an A rating.
